| Welcome to Seattle and the Northwest! Seattle is,
without a doubt, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is
nestled between snowcapped mountains and the sparkling waters of the
Puget Sound. Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains to the west
showcase sunsets that only the Northwest can offer. The Cascades to
the east complete the circle of the area with breathtaking vistas.
Seattle began in 1869 as a lumber town. It’s easy to see why as you
fly in over the millions of trees blanketing the surrounding area. It
then progressed as an outfitter’s mecca as miners left the United
States for the gold rush in the Yukon Territories. Fishing has long
been a staple of the economy with one of the largest fishing fleets in
the world calling Seattle home. William Boeing headed west in 1903
(the same year the Wright Brothers made their first flight at Kitty
Hawk, North Carolina,) and shortly thereafter founded the company that
shrank the world. Boeing continues to be the cornerstone industry of
the Puget Sound area. In recent years Microsoft, which makes its home
in nearby Redmond, has led America and the world into the age of
technology. Founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975, Microsoft
now has over 55,000 employees with 27,000 of them in the Puget Sound
area.

Seattle and its surrounding area is home to over 2 million people. It
is made up of many unique and exciting neighborhoods that bring small
town lifestyles in many different fashions. SeattlesBestApartments are
located in unique neighborhoods of their own. Forest Creek and
Canterbury Court Apartments are located approximately 12 miles north
of downtown Seattle and are nestled between the villages of Lake
Forest Park and Shoreline. Forest Creek has a country-like setting
with tall trees and a stream which flows past every deck. Trout, and
an occasional salmon, frequent McAleer Creek. Great Blue Herons,
Raccoons, and an occasional Eagle are frequent visitors in the
community. Canterbury Court is surrounded by nature and center-pieced
by a beautiful pond which wild ducks call home nearly every day of the
year. Our Greenlake South Shore community is located only 4 miles
north of downtown
Seattle and is located near the shores of Green Lake. This truly is
one of the most sought after areas for living (and playing) in the
entire Seattle area. People have been flocking to the Green Lake area
for nearly 100 years to enjoy this natural preserve. You will see
hundreds of species of plants and trees as well as a large variety of
birds and waterfowl. Nesting Bald Eagles are in residence year around.
The 2.8-mile path around the lake is the perfect spot for walkers,
runners, bikers & bladers, or a leisurely stroll around this beautiful
lake. Green Lake is surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops (it
wouldn’t be Seattle without them.) Green Lake also offers boating,
swimming, fishing, golfing, and numerous other activities.
